1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
Many times when I was a little girl, my grandmother would say to me “Always stay as nice as you are”. Although it seemed trite at the time, I’ve never forgotten her words. Kindness and respect are never out of style, and in a world that often feels divided, there’s never a wrong time to be kind to each other, even when we don’t see eye to eye. I know grandma would agree.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I love the process of working toward big goals. Losing 50 pounds and regaining my health was a huge goal, and I still get excited about improving my fitness. My most important goal to date is to create Heart Warriors around the world who fight for their own heart health and for the hearts of those they love. My most exciting goal so far? Preparing for the opportunity of a lifetime as Mrs. International!

3.What do you love to cook and why?
CPR! As a Basic Life Support instructor for the American Heart Association, I train first responders and medical professionals to provide high-quality CPR. But anyone, even children as young as 12, can learn to save a life with hands-only CPR. 70% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen at home, so if you ever witness a medical emergency that requires CPR, it will likely be a loved one who needs your help.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
All the things I loved as a child are still an important part of my life, so I must be a 10-year-old at heart! I fell in love with horses after reading Black Beauty in grade school, and now I have two rescue horses at home. I loved making my Barbies beautiful, and today I make women feel and look beautiful as an esthetician and makeup artist. Grow up? Not me!

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
My husband and I are early birds, so instead of “date nights”, we have “antiquing afternoons”! It’s a passion we both share, and we love the thrill of the hunt. Mike loves old tools, and I search for decor for our 140-year-old farmhouse. My favorite find is a vintage seltzer bottle we found in England and hand carried on the plane home. Our antique treasures are a great way to remember our adventures!
