1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
If there is something that I want to change, the change must start within. As a mentor, I often tell my mentees this. You must work hard to improve yourself. Making a difference and changing any circumstance or challenges that come your way. This will not only make you a stronger person, but you will be doing something to help others, as well as the world around you.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
My husband Del is such a phenomenal man. I can honestly say that I am so blessed to have him as my husband. He is such a supportive partner, very encouraging and a remarkable Dad. I also love the fact that sometimes, we can just look at each other and smile. I can see the love that he has for not only me, but for our family.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
When we took a family trip to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina I was amazed at the breathtaking scene that is the Carolina Coast. Now, we visit the Coast every year, and we love it. It's just the appreciation of seeing the marvel of God's creation, wild horses, and the hopes of finding the legendary Black Breads treasure. It’s moments like this that make me appreciate times with my family.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
I was determined. At first high school was so hard for me simply because I thought that trying to go down the wrong path would make me look “cool” to my peers. After I met my first Mentor, my high school English teacher, I was determined to not only make her proud, but my family as well as myself. This changed my whole perspective on the importance of changing my lifestyle.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
Del is a huge fisherman. I would have to buy him the biggest boat I can find, so that he could fish with our boys (Zyire and Del Jr.). As a family, we love going to the lake and fishing for hours. My oldest son Del, is normally the best fisherman, he caught 16 fish in 1 day. Not bad for a 10-year-old. I enjoy watching them have a good time.
